Position Status: Full Time

Work Schedule:Regular hours are Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Employees may need to adjust work hours during surge situations.

Travel: This position may require up to 30% travel, both CONUS and OCONUS locations

Brief Job Description:

The Business Development Manager expands, enhances and diversifies potential new opportunities through intentional relationship building with prospective commercial, government and industry clients, identifies and addresses existing opportunities with current clients and ensures company's goals and objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, identifies, qualifies and captures new business opportunities that align with the capabilities and competencies of Axxeum, Inc.
  • Recommends win strategies and contributes to the development of pricing and teaming strategies
  • Facilitates the development of prospective programs and operations by targeting the specific needs of government and industry customers and potential clients
  • Ensures organizational operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business operations while fulfilling the expectations and needs of the client
  • Represents the company at key meetings, conferences and symposiums with government and industry customers
  • Performs other tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 years in Business development. At least 3 years of which should be in government contracting; Experience in Aviation is a huge plus
  • Must be capable of passing a background check
  • Must be capable of passing a drug screen
  • Must be able to detail opportunities through pipeline management and organizational policies governing bid/no-bid decisions
  • Must have strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Must be able to build and strengthen working relationships with multiple government and industry customers and potential teammates
  • Must be detail oriented with good analytical skills and ability to handle multiple tasks independently
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to work independently on tasks without oversight
  • Must have attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior at all times when dealing with co-workers, customers, and all levels of management
  • Must have the ability to communicate using clear, concise, and accurate English; both verbal and written are Required

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift, move, and transport items occasionally over 10 pounds.

Work Environment:

Generally, work is conducted in an inside environment, but may also involve some outside work depending on the task. The inside environment may be in an office or cubicle with close quarters, low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting. Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates and while on travel.
