Job Summary : Work as part of the GATR program management team by assisting in the management of government programs of record. The position requires someone capable of coordinating activities on assigned projects such as planning, scheduling, action item tracking and report writing; monitoring work for compliance to contract requirements (CDRLS); and ensuring effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between multiple engineering disciplines and other departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of select programs
  • Operate as liaison between program management and other GATR divisions related to the schedules of ongoing programs of record and new programs
  • Develop and utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and other project management techniques to gauge program progress and facilitate focus and intervention in critical areas
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending action
  • Support preparation of written and verbal reports to management to identify cost and schedule variances
  • Preparation of schedule-related contract deliverables
  • Track action items from program meetings
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project software, including critical path analysis, schedule risk assessment, macros, resource loading, resource leveling, dependencies, durations, effort, filters, reports, 14-point DCMA assessment, and metrics reports.
  • Full command of other Microsoft Office Suite products (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Capable of interacting with program managers, division managers, senior management, and other key functional/support organizations.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong visual presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills and ability to balance and prioritize work
  • Experience in a production environment preferred
  • Credentials and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field and 8 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET level Security Clearance is required
  • Earned Value experience preferred
  • Primavera Professional Project Management software experience/proficiency preferred
