The Sr. Director of the Sanmina PMO for Design Engineering is responsible for managing product design, redesign, and test development projects to achieve and maintain the vision of Providing an outstanding customer experience that enables manufacturing revenue, contributes to profitability and shareholder value, creates value for our customers and suppliers and creates competitive advantage that differentiates Sanmina. The primary functional oversight responsibilities are: Manage the Project Managers and support staff Institute and maintain appropriate project management processes Work with the NBD teams to manage projections and anticipated projects Maintain tight planning and collaboration with the design execution team, sales, and the manufacturing operations Forecast anticipated resource needs Participate in contract authoring and negotiations Participate in the creation of Statements of Work Facilitate the design delivery process Ensure the quality of all deliverables Manage transfer of the designs to manufacturing operations Manage the ramp to mature production Management of the customer and customer expectations Scope / Change management Manage project financials / profitability Drive Customer Satisfaction Ensure proper training of the Project Managers The successful candidate will have significant experience managing the product realization process for products that include electronics content. The candidate must have experience in the end-to-end process of project planning, requirements management, risk management, documentation, design processes, test processes, and manufacturing. 10+ years experience in managing a PMO and team of project managers, ideally with PMP certification and bachelors degree in a relevant course of study and a history of successful product realization and transfer to manufacturing is needed.
