Our customer in Birmingham, AL is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join their team. Below is some more information on this position.
* Business Systems Analyst Task
o Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.
o Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
o Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
o Ensuring project deadlines are met.
o Determining project changes.
o Providing administrative support as needed.
o Undertaking project tasks as required.
o Developing project strategies.
o Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
o Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
o Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
o Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
o Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
o Project manage on targeted portions for the bigger project
* Solution Planning and Delivery
o Work closely with the program management office (PMO) or project management office to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives
o Enable the business to meet objectives through IT delivery using appropriate design guidelines and investment advocacy
o Participate in Program and Project Planning activities, discovery and solutions demonstrations based on team's software development framework. This could include activities such as Program Increment (PI) Planning and Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution Demos, sprint zero planning, architecture design sessions, requirements gathering, JAD sessions, dependency mapping meetings etc.)
o Define, explore, and support the implementation solutions working directly with system teams to implement
o Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
Business Systems Analyst Requirements:
o Bachelor degree in business or related field of study.
o Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
o Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
o Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
o Ability to quickly pick up on new processes, systems and assigned tasks
o Competency in Microsoft applications including SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
o Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
o Ability to work on tight deadlines in a fast pace environment
o Technical experience or experience managing technical IT teams or project is a must
o Acquisition experience is desired
